Q1:Is your online order form secure ?
Yes, it is 100% secure. Our secure server is at Mycommerce - Shareit!, a veteran ecommerce company specializing in software.
Q2:Can I pay for your software by check, purchase order or wire transfer ?
You can pay for our software by the following payment methods: credit-card online, credit-card by phone, credit-card by fax, purchase order, check, wire transfer, PayPal, ACH, postal mail. We recommend to use the credit-card online payment method because in this case you will receive your registration code via e-mail within a several minutes of placing an order.
Q3:Who should I contact with ordering questions about a product ?
To get answers on questions concerning ordering, payment or shipping procedures, please visit the Customer Service Center at: Mycommerce - Shareit!.
Q4:If I pay for the program now, how long will it take before I receive my download URL ?
It depends on the payment method you use. If you order online with your credit card, you will have your download URL after you submit the order form and an email with download URL.
Q5:I have not received a download URL. Why ?
Please make sure you have input correct email address and submit your order. For other cases, please feel free to contact us.
Q6:Is technical support free ?
Yes, technical support free. You don't need to pay for technical support. Just send us an email at support@recover-windows-password.net in case you face any trouble using our document conversion tool.
Q7:How to fix when I purchased the wrong software?
In this case, we can exchange for you directly if the two software has the price difference within $10. Beyond this, you need to pay price difference for swap.
Q8:Why was I charged more than the price listed on the website?
As software developer, we only charge the price as list on the website. For the extra part, it might be the tax or Extended Download Service.


What is Download Protection/Extended Download Service?
EDS (External Download Service) is a service provided and charged by the payment platform separately, which lets you store your software download on a secure server for backup purposes for two years.


Is it necessary to purchase this service?
Honestly it is not necessary. We provide free downloads and updates for our purchased customers. Go to our official website to download the latest version, or contact us freely.


How to get refund of EDS?
As a separate charge from our software, you need to contact payment platform to request a refund of this service.

Technical FAQs


Q1: What's the difference between the trial version and full version?
We offer free demo version downloading service for everyone to take a test before purchasing. You just need to click "Free Trial" button on each product page to install free trial version. The trial version of Windows Password Key software can only list all the Windows and accounts, but cannot reset their passwords. The full version will reset the forgotten Windows password for you. Once purchased, you will enjoy life-time update of this software and customer support.
Q2: There are 4 editions of Windows Password Key software. Which version should I choose?
Windows Password Key Standard can only use a CD/DVD to burn. The other versions (Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate) also support a USB flash driver.
If your account is a local account and the password is a normal password, you can choose any one as you like.
If your account is a Microsoft account or the password is a domain password, you should choose Windows Password Key Enterprise or Windows Password Key Ultimate.

Q3: Specifically how to use Windows Password Key software?
Following are details about each step to use Windows Password software:
Step 1: Download and install the software in another computer (any available PC, not the PC you want to unlock).
Step 2: Insert a CD/DVD/USB flash driver first, start the software, choose the driver you used and click “Burn" button, wait a moment, you'll receive a successful pop-up window.
Step 3: Insert the burned driver to your locked computer first, start the computer, continuously press F12 key, then choose the disk you used in Boot Menu and hit "Enter", you'll enter our password reset program successfully. The key pressed to enter BIOS is different based on manufacturers, you can also try “F9”, “F10” or other keys to enter Boot Menu, or pressing “F2”,“Delete”or other keys to enter BIOS Setup.
Step 4: Follow the prompts of the program, and you can remove/reset the password successfully.
Q4: If the computer uses UEFI boot mode, what should I do?
You should change some settings manually after burning:
1. Power on the system and while the computer logo appears, press F2 key to enter the BIOS Setup. The key pressed to enter BIOS is different based on manufacturers, you can also try “F10”, “Delete”or other keys to enter BIOS Setup.
2. Select Security tab and set the Secure Boot to Disabled.
3. Change "Boot Mode" to "Legacy".
4. Press F10 to save the setting.
5. Restart your computer and continuously press F12, then choose your disk (CD/DVD/USB option) in Boot Menu. The key pressed to enter BIOS is different based on manufacturers, you can also try "F9", “F10” or other keys to enter Boot Menu. And you can notice the prompt of Startup interface.
Sometimes, change "CSM mode" to "Enable" and change "Load Legacy Option Rom" to "Enable".
Please note: After clearing the password, you need to revert the BIOS settings so that you can enter your operation system.
Q5: I cannot download and install the software. What shall I do?
This can be due to several reasons:
  • The link expires in six clicks or after a week because of download protection.
  • Before installing the full version, you’re highly suggested to remove the previous trial version completely from your computer.
  • Please change a download tool or change a Windows computer to download the software.
  • And you should use a computer, which has administrator right to install the software.
Q6: After burning, it shows “the ISO file path is invalid”. What shall I do?
If you use a CD/DVD to burn, please use a blank, readable and erasable CD/DVD (CD-RW, DVD-RW) to burn.
If you use a USB flash driver, please format your USB flash driver manually.
The program reads the ISO image automatically. Insert a CD/DVD/USB flash driver first, start the software, choose the driver you used and click “Burn" button, wait a moment, you'll receive a successful pop-up window. If not, please close the program and restart it. Or please trash the software to reinstall it.
Q7: I got a message said “This is not a password reset disk”, what’s wrong?
This could be because you clicked “forget password” in the login interface. You entered the password reset program inside system, which needs you created a password reset disk before. And you haven't entered our program.
Please refer to Q3 about the specific steps to use the software. If the program still cannot boot normally, please refer to Q4 to change the UEFI settings.
Q8: It shows “No Operating System”, “Unable Windows System” or there is no Windows path to choose, what shall I do?
No worries. It is a problem of the compatibility between software and hardware. If you are a purchased customer of Windows Password Key, we have alternative programs to help you out. Please feel free to contact us.
Q9: After finishing changing the password, why can’t I login in?
You should choose the enable accounts and you’d better choose the “Remove Windows Password” option. You can also create a new account to enter your computer with the new account and reset the password of previous account. The account created usually shows up when you restart the computer twice.
Note: If your product is the Standard or Professional version and your account is a Microsoft account, you should upgrade your version to Enterprise or Ultimate.
