Like Macs have iCloud and Chromebooks have Google Drive, Windows 8.1 PCs have SkyDrive. SkyDrive on Windows 8.1 is smart, offering a new way of syncing files that saves on disk space. It's great for devices with small amounts of local storage.
SkyDrive allows you to store your files online. They're linked to your Microsoft account and can be synced across your PCs, downloaded via a web browser. Still, storing your files locally on regular Windows 8.1 PC will also allow you to access them even when you aren't connected to the Internet. Luckily, it's very easy to force SkyDrive to store a copy of your files on your hard drive in Windows 8.1. Learn the how-to as following part.
Note that it only works if you sign in with a Microsoft account, not a local user account – SkyDrive is linked to the Microsoft account you log in with. But once if you can't use SkyDrive since you forgot Microsoft account password, click here to learn how to crack the forgotten password.
You can also rigit-click the folders individually and select Make available offline.
That's all for how to sync your files with SkyDrive on your hard drive in Windows 8.1. Either way you choose, from now on every time SkyDrive sends a copy of a file to the cloud a second copy will be stored on your hard drive.
